make game standings persistent ?

since ManicMonday lost an ide drive on monday (when else ???) it was unsafe to hold the machine up, but I had to do that due to the running Napoleonic game. Tonight the machine crashed and did not come back to life even after a hardware reset. So our game data ist lost now ;-(

All MM Lux and Vox Servers are down right now, since the hoster needs to
exchange the mother board - this may take a bit time. This week end they are planning to move the machines from Germany to France. so i assume i won't start a long term game until the machine is up and running again in France.

It would be great if the vox server makes the current game persistent in the support directory by writing a game file of longer timed games with the current position lets say every hour. Then on a server restart it might load that file and allow the players to continue their game.

Is that possible, dustin ?

PS: Yeah that crash really sucks - cause GK and me were in a really good position since "test" almost screw up his game ;-)

That is sad, mentor, but such hardware "accidents" just happen (of course at inadequate times). The daily turn Vox game became interesting just before...

P.S.: (Vox) Romans can be so wayward.

I would also appreciate mentor's wish (especially if I'm looking at the tracker :?).
