Drawing/tracing, Countries/Continents in a different colour.
Hi Dustin/Mark,
I was thinking, when drawing new countries and or continents, to make a new Lux/Castle Vox map, which is in black.
How about making this tool, being able to change colour so you can see the difference between what you're tracing and what you are drawing?
By having a different colour or colours, it won't be an eye strain to see what you have drawn already, and thus make it easier to trace things too!
What do you think?
Peter.

Hi Enokrad,
Thanks for your reply.
That maybe fine, but there are maps out there that have black lines, so tracing black on black isn't really a good idea.
But still, if in Lux/Castle Vox you can choose a colour to add/edit lines, why not have this for tracing as well?
Peter

Hi Lupus,
Please explain further, but I think I know what you mean.
In that case, you're doing the tracing twice, not once.
I think it would be much simplier to have different tracing colours, as a time saver.
Peter.

Hi Behemoth,
It's seems I have offended your sense of intelligence, judging by your comments, you must think very highly of yourself in this area, and that everybody else is below you.
I respect the fact that you are very good at doing maps, and I tip my hat off to you.
As beginner, I ask questions (yes, they may be stupid) to understand and learn, but if you cannot respect that; you must think people like me as idiots, not worthy of conversation.
Judging by your comments, I have met people like you, who live in there own world, without any regard of others around them, who are not worth your time and effort (how sad).

Hi Blackj3sus,
I am looking into that at the moment, finding the right website to download a trial version, as I can't download a full free version, and buying it is really out of my price range.
I am using paint.NET at the moment, and that is giving me some understanding of how it works and using Dustin's notes on Themes/Maps tutorials, which is helping understand the the process a little more.

Wizard of Oz: 'You, my friend, are a victim of disorganized thinking. You are under the unfortunate impression that just because you run away you have no courage; you're confusing courage with wisdom.'
Highly recommend the movie btw. Ray Bolger's scarecrow rocks. Judy Garland does a half way decent job of Dorothy too.
Hi Behemoth,
I've seen the movie a real classic, but I don't remember the line.
Remembering movie lines is not my forte.
As I recall Deanna Durbin was going to or was being considered as Dorothy; now that would be very interesting.
Maybe you could do a Wizard of Oz map?
But would that be worth doing though?

Oh yeah! Vox "Land of Oz" for certain. I think it is RandomGuy's map.
It is "banned" from certain Lux servers, so let's give it a go in Vox?

I use paint.net for everything btw. great program.
I was the one who requested the map. It turned into a significant marathon of fairly EPIC proportions in a room designed to keep the games going and the maps changing...Osiris wrote:Hi RandomGuy,
Can I ask why your map was banned, if that's okay?
I am Intrigued.
