Replacement Bureau

Post by Behemoth » Tue Oct 18, 2011 1:54 pm

Players will drop out of games for one reason or another, there's no changing that, and bots are far from ideal replacements.

For what it's worth here's a thread where you can post games in need of an emergency replacement.

THE GREAT WAR - ManicMonday16H, Round 11. Needs a player to fill Ottoman Empire.

World War II - DailyWW2, round 8. Needs a player to fill Germany

Starlingrad MP,

7 MOONS OF PLEIADES

THE GREAT WAR

Also,

WWII Pacific is in need of 2 more, although it may be a little late to join...

i tried to join a few 16 hour ones and it didn't go so good for me. a 24 hour timer would be cool to see again.

16 hour move games dont work well for me either. I always find myself mising rounds because it falls into my sleep cycle sometimes. 24hr one a day move games are easy for me to get my moves in on time.

Maybe we'll get real fancy and adopt the alert feature that will send an Email or a Text message to your phone when a new round has started. This would be ideal for multi-player games although may not be possible with the programming aspect.

There is no need to push the "Finish Moves" button if you are in doubt. looking into the map twice a day is ok for most of us. Since Dustins hosts are down right now, only mine are online. I might add some 24h games for you slow guys soon ;-)
