Can you speed up the bots in "The Beginning of the End&

Post by Danzer » Thu Oct 13, 2011 2:29 am

I like this map, "The Beginning of the End!" but it is WAY too slow! Some of the bots take up their full minute, making me wait several minutes between turns. I played solo and still ran out of time, i.e. the game hit it's time limit before I advanced very much in the game.

Alright folks. Check out final rankings on the pages linked above. I'll be writing up formal results / congrats posts for the last two weeks sometime later this weekend, as well as getting the ball rolling early for next week's old timers / veterans / rookies / ladies tourneys. I've got some fun new stuff planned for those events, including a limited winner picks option, and I'm gonna need some feedback before starting on Monday night. As for Map Retro, I know most of you abhor this event, and overall Lux activity crashes like a rock while standard maps are turned off, but I'd like to express my appreciation and respect for everyone who kept playing and socializing through the last four days without complaint. In all honesty, I think of you folks as the best that the Lux community has to offer, and I thank you for making the best of unusual circumstances.

∞ paranoiarodeo applauds our winners ∞

Well ,, to start ,, I think all should thank Para for the extensive work done trying to make luxtoberfest successful. There are always small bugs, but I could not imagine even trying to take this enormous undertaking on !!!!!! I really hope other members of this community appreciate it as much as I do !!!!!!!!

Now ,,, congrats to all the medalists ,,,, I got lucky enough to pull a third in castle ,, but I really think that that was an anomily ,,as I sincerely think there are much better players than this Old Man !!!!

This month really is special to me ,, and I really enjoy the competition ,,,, Hope the fun continues , as I'm sure it shall ..

And just so everyone knows ,, Halloween is my birthday ,,, 56 ,,, so bwahaaaa ,, BEWARE of the old spooky ,,, he's out to get u all !!!! Trick or Treat !!!!! Bwahahaha

imapickle is over the moon about the map retro tournament

Thanks to all who participated and thanks to para for all his hostifying and organising things. Congrats to Apocalypse and pjb.

I have to say i had forgotten how much i enjoyed this game.

The tournment was made exciting by interesting maps, like the one with all the piddly little islands and that city block map that caused one or two pickly pathing disasters. My favourites were a kind of mini cube wars and the Libya map.

while I did enjoy the games in this tourney, in my opinion, there was just too much going on this time. With blobs as the MOTW, there was too much to do, too little time.

I loved the retro tourney! I agree with you pickle that my enjoyment of Lux increased a lot because I had the chance to play these fun, different maps.

I just wish I could have got back online in the afternoon/evening to challenge you for first place! ;)

Congrats pickle, and thanks a million Para for all your work!
