Best/most useful way to report glitches.

Post by iDye » Tue Dec 30, 2003 1:34 am

Dustin,
What information helps you the most with trouble shooting? Do you want/need crash logs? System Info? Hardware Info? All of the above? None of the above? Is there a place you want it reported to?

What about setting up a couple of dedicated forum areas where users can report the most common crashes?

Logan's idea of beta testers might filter it out a bit for you.

Just streaming thoughts. Want to see Lux succeed and be stable, and future success may be dependent upon stability.

Additionally, what are some minimum hardware requirement suggestions?

I'd like to state first that I've got it running on a 400Mhz G4 with 512mb of memory. The animations are a bit choppy but the game still plays well.

That's a good idea iDye. I am going to post a new sticky thread in the forum with this information.

As for minimum system requirements, Lux can run on any computer that can run Mac OS X. Until recently I was using it on a 350 Mhz G3 and everything worked. The drawing (and explosions) will obviously be faster on speedier computers.
