Good games today everyone. Crazy to see Water catapult themselves into first with three consecutive wins by deez. Shocking how well he can play while half-way sober mid-weekday, huh? As for Earth, it was unfortunate that none of them showed up, especially kude. The only substitute available was TORTOISE, and, um, well, you know how he can be. It was kinda funny how he kept saying "capi tell mee u noz hurted bridgy tortoise" as he took all negative income though. Shame he never finished better than fifth. Anyways, looks like this year is gonna be a nail biter until the bitter end. See you all on Tuesday 3am EST.
(Holy hell, Snype. I know you gotta be nice to the Europeans, but 3am? Sheesh.)

No, 3DA. Sorry. My apologizes to anyone who didn't realize my post was only meant to tease kude, who thought today's games were going to be played yesterday. As for upcoming dates and maps, I'll need to sort things out with Snype tonight, but I'll tentatively say we'll finish up the pre-final games on Monday and Wednesday, mid-afternoon eastern time, so our European friends can play before midnight local time.

Snype played eleven games, so he's more than doubled his required minimum. PJB, *Mani and CARDANO all need one more each. So, yeah, one of those fellas should play, or Mara too, if he's around. Also, regarding the games later this week, I will try and pick times that are suitable for players who still need games. I can't be perfectly flexible for everyone, but I will try my best to ensure convenient times. I'd also be willing to push back those games one day until Thursday and Saturday, if that would be better for all involved. We can discuss options during tomorrow's games, and make a final decision then. Sooo, if any individual or team leader wants to recommend a specific time, please speak up.

Pardon me, but: 1. Surely you realize that North American students constitute only a small fraction of Luxers, nor are 90% of North Americans, students or not, available during weekday evenings. Some have jobs or active family and social lives; 2. If you look at the list of players who still need more games, you will see that PJB, Bod and CARDANO live in European time zones, and maybe they'd like to play before midnight; 3. Enokrad and 3DA need more games, and both have already signaled their support; 4. Snype hosted one hour later at 5pm eastern on Wednesday, January 4th. All teams were present, and there wasn't a single complaint in the forums or game room about the starting time; 5. I was crystal clear about my willingness to adjust the schedule for players who have yet to play their five games; and 6. Instead of calling my schedule "ridiculous", maybe you should be more mature, and respectfully suggest an alternative. Thanks.engie wrote:Makes it extremely hard for the 90% here in the US finishing classes and work and just a tad easier for the other 10%. Ridiculous scheduling
Because being polite and mature has worked for me so far...
"Snypereye, can you authorize our team to recruit 2 more players, since deez nuts and mentor09 seem to be M.I.A.?"
No reply.
"Isn't the next set of games tomorrow??"
No reply.
"SAT 1/21/12 12:00PM EST
KINGS AND CASTLES
= this evening?"
No reply.
Maybe I need to be a little pushy to get a response around here.

This tourney's been going on for six years. AFAIK, Snype has never made mid-tourney roster changes for MIAs. Besides, that sorta thing would be completely unfair to other teams, and new or returning players who went through the draft process. Doing so would open the door for abuse. Does the phrase "bring in a ringer" mean anything to you? Sheesh. And with all due respect, you never bothered to PM your teammates during the first two weeks of the tourney. Snype finally did on your behalf, and mentor came to play same day. All other teams seem to have communicated well with one another, and made the best of their situations, so why couldn't you guys?engie wrote:"Snypereye, can you authorize our team to recruit 2 more players, since deez nuts and mentor09 seem to be M.I.A.?"
Lemme get this straight: kude, being a well known genius, gets confused reading a calendar, and makes one of his typically informative posts, so you need help untangling the mystery that maybe, just maybe, Saturday means Saturday? Oh dear Lincoln. I guess you haven't noticed, but most folks around here ignore kude, so when you start following him down blind alleyways, maybe you shouldn't be surprised when folks start ignoring you too.engie wrote:"Isn't the next set of games tomorrow??"

(More often than not, being pushy only makes one look like an asshat, in real life and Lux.)

kude...
Maybe look for context? Don't you think I know when 12 PM is?
Someone before me posted about games that were allegedly going to occur later that night, when contrary to that, the schedule said the games were the next day... hence my post.
But I'm glad you know the difference between 12 AM and PM! I would imagine 12 AM is past your bedtime! *pinches cheeks*

Yeah, fair enough para. I overreacted because I had it set in my mind that I was going to play today until I saw the time it would be held at. I wasn't willing to accept not being able to play, but have since then calmed down. My apologies, Mr. Rodeo.
