But the tables are not empty; there are belligerent diners with insatiable hunger for something something something and a few trolls.

Re: Lux is actually like a restaurant with empty tables
Has anyone read this new forum title as "Lux Dystopia" or was that just me?
Yea I thought maybe that was the intended play on words at first, but then i thought surely not.

I am giving up on this restaurant. For months controleola has been targeting me, every game, every round and nothing is done about it. Others just take advantage of the situation. No wonder Lux is about dead, players like controleola are allowed to persist in bad play. Too bad, there are/were some good players. So I guess I am signing off. It used to be fun. Later all…..

There are probably a number of reasons, the most obvious being that the app is buggy/not really maintained, and the chat culture is shitty, and the most popular map is kind of boring. Mystery solved.

The only reliable guest at the moment is a fly on the screen of my laptop.

I'm not a marketing genius but why is lux not into the Apple Store? When I started I found it on the games list on the old apple site

When the Mac App Store first came out, I looked into it, and it had pretty strict sandboxing requirements. The way Lux used java libraries, and also the way it downloads plugins and maps was not allowed in mac app store apps, so it wasn't eligible. I'm not sure if that's changed since then, but I haven't heard great things about the Mac App Store from other developers either.
