Hosts freezing up
Hey dustin, and others,
I'm sure you're aware that the Lux hosts have a tendency of freezing up arbitrarily sometimes.
I was hopeful that it was something to do with where the official hosts are hosted, and that maybe my own host wouldn't suffer this fate. But it happened today, and I didn't see and immediate, obvious explanation.
I'm interested in trying to debug this, or at least mitigate it.
I'm curious if anyone has more information on what might be going wrong, or what has been tried in the past.
Let me know! And I'll share anything I figure out trying to address it.
Cheers,
STM

Re: Hosts freezing up
I did my best to stabilize things when I was doing active Lux development. My guess would be remaining issues are due to multi-threading issues. Each server-client connection operates in a different thread, and it's possible sometimes they screw each other up. Even tho there are locks in place. Sorry, it's been awhile since I've been deep in the code.
