Everything was working great, then I upgraded my Linux distro (Mepis; the kernel stayed the same) and now the sound is gone from Ancient Empires Lux. It works in everything else. Does anybody know of a fix?

locutus I've moved this to Bug Reports - it may not be a bug, but the people with answers to questions like this will see it here first.

Lux uses the Java runtime on your computer for all its sound. You could try using another version of the JVM. The /Support/log.txt file will have some output telling which JVM is currently being used.
I don't know anything about linux sound drivers/support, but there might be a solution there.

The support log said Lux couldn't load the sound. I Installed java v. 1.5.0-08 (instead of 1.5.0.10) and everything works again.
Thank you.
