Hey all. This question relates to my Global Risk map. As it stands, whomever gets the first turn is able to place all initial armies as well as attack (before any other player has a chance to place initial armies). I'm unable to find a way to change the map so that each player gets to place armies before attacking begins. Does anyone know how to fix this?

That's nothing to do with the map, BKS - it is the same for everyone on all maps, you place and attack in the same turn...same as the board game. There wouldn 't be a lot of point otherwise, lol!

Really? Every other map I've played has a few turns in which you can only place armies. For example, in the Classic Risk map, 5 turns pass before you are allowed to attack. Perhaps I am the only one experiencing this? *is genuinely confused*

Ahh...in that case, it depends if you have the option to auto-select countries slected, or manually do it...most people have random generation, to keep things fair. If you are doing it manually, and trying to play very large maps, you can't. Same with the Hex series - there are just too many countries, I think Global Risk is the same. In these cases, the automatic feature overrides the manual and armies are placed for you.
Edit to add : sorry Kef, double post.

If the map has over 75 or 100 countries then no player gets reinforcements until their first turn. Which kinda gives the first player an advantage but the large number of countries usually offsets this.

Ahh, I see now. That's good. I was mostly worried something was wrong with my map. Thanks a bunch!
