Making my first map and it was smooth sailing until i tried to play the make with the background i set. i've read the tutorial but i don't have photo shop or anything so i cant even do the first step. the background pic is a .jpg file and it shows up fine when i made the map. i set the map info theme to the same file (which i made a folder for and put in the themes folder) but now when i go to play it doesnt work, the screen is white and says rendering background and stays like that

dont know what else to do

also, if i can get that fixed great but i want to make the countries transparent so u can see the whole backgrond like on the massachusetts map

your map folder has this line: <theme>themetitle</theme>

and your "Themes\themetitle" directory contains a file called background.jpg?

also, does the width and height of you picture match the map size?

for the transparent effect, load the same picture as background.jpg and foreground.jpg.

i just figured that out by going through the files of the other themes, its working fine now, thanks anyway
