Map Editor Question (deleting countries while editing)

Post by scoutxr28 » Mon Mar 28, 2005 5:40 am

I'm working on a new map, and I realized for some reason there is some random countries that got created, but I didn't realize this till lots of work later, I can't seem to find any delete country button or anything, how do I do this?

Do I have to start all over?

right now there is no delete country button, you have to go into the code and remove thier tags

I'm guessing find text file and study it for patterns.

You can delete countries in the map editor by control-clicking on them.

Wow thanks awesome, that will save me so much trouble!, now I'm having some other issues, for some reason when I load the background and I am setting up all the points to match along with it I reload it and all the points keep moving off by a little bit and I can't understand, any idea why this might be happening, I'm guessing it might be a common error.

Like for example I go to name countries mode it aligns them correctly, I go back to edit shapes all of the sudden everything is out of wack and I can't edit the shapes correctly since everything is off, any idea?

This could happen if you resize the window, it will resize the background image along with it (maybe it should not do this?).

You can reset it to the size you would like it by going to the Editor menu and selected Set Info. Then specify the size you want there and hit OK.

Yeah, I'll try and see if I can do that to fix it. Also I think as a nice feature to the map editor there should be more polygon tools, like while creating the points something to help you make nothing but straight lines in respect to the other point, this will be useful for example in my chess map I'm working on. Maybe there is a way to do this already?
