And once we get all 50, for luxtoberfest there could be a trip across the US contest.

There does, in fact, exist an Oklahoma map: BarStar's "American Indian War".

I didn't count Bar's map for Oklahoma since it's missing a part of the state, and has it's own shtick to it, separate from the modern US state.

I also stickied this topic in the forums, so more people see it.

Good stuff RandomGuy.

I updated the list, and also added Puerto Rico as a bonus non-state. We're still just at 24/50, so there's lots left...

i think it will just look better if all the maps in a similar style, just a suggestion. Other people should try to include cool graphics, backround etc. like Randomguy did.
Im not that good at those yet, which is why i don't want to try for the maps at the moment.

I'll take on Virginia, though it might need a new take. In Virginia, cities are independent of counties that contain them, so that'll make cities like Charlottesville and Winchester interesting. PM me with ideas on how I should handle game dynamics.

Virginia is tricky - and if you try to represent each city and county as a country on the map, they will be too small. What'd I'd do instead is use geographic borders. Make a map of Virginia and use rivers, forests, mountains, etc. Possibly drop in a few major cities. You don't have to stick to the county layout when creating a state map. See the Texas map, for example.

I had a quickly done map for my own use made, and now I'm prettifying it. The counties aren't really a problem, as they are all big enough to see. The problem is cities, especially very small ones, and ones that are surrounded by a county. How I went around that last time was that a city was connected to any other city on the same continent, but that was a quick fix. My plan is to remove minor cities, like Martinsville, but leave in the major cities: Richmond, Petersburg, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Danville, Lynchburg, Roanoke, Staunton, Harrisonburg and Alexandria. The cities in the Hampton Roads area are all big enough to be counties anyway, and in my original map, they were not their own bonuses, but acted like countries in their respective continents (Urban Tidewater and The Virginia Penninsula). If anyone has a city they feel I should include, please PM me or reply to this post.

Only one true UK map, and that's the original one by Preach, one of the 4 original maps that came preinstalled in "the 'ol days"
