It was a great season - thanks to everyone who participated.
Jimski pulled out the most AMAZING comeback I've ever seen - his team was literally in LAST place a month into the season. Brilliant, I say!
1. jimski 67
2. Hoodie calls Oz. 60.5
3. Aqua's Asshats 58
4. Wave's Jerks 54
4. magpie 54
6. A New Day 51.5
7. Marauding Icepickers 50
8. The Keerberg Ballers 31.5
9. Wegie Bastids 23.5
I finished 3rd here, and 2nd in my money league... I'm already looking forward to next season!

Why is baseball the only sport where they only congratulate themselves after a game? After a professional baseball game, the players all congratulate themselves, much like in other sports they wish the other team a sportsmans job well done, some thing like "good game." Now in amateur baseball it is not odd to see the 2 teams line up for a handshake, but why is it that in professional baseball, a sport that is considered to be a 'genuine' sport, they forget the sportsmanship and simply congratulate themselves?

Since we're bumping three and a half year old threads ... and keeping in the spirit of earlywime's post ... I would like to take this moment to remind the Lux community of one important fact ... after our dearly departed AquaRegia stomped the Pretty Pretty Flower's Trinitarian Tigers ... then squeaked past regular season juggernaut Nietz's Nippy Nine ... my Marauding Icepickers methodically kicked his ass in the playoff finals ... and thus emerged triumphant and victorious as champions of the 2009 Lux fantasy baseball season ... !
(Minor factual quibble: my team barely beat Aqua's; but, um, that part of the story isn't important.)
∞ paranoiarodeo reminds everyone that the official first pitch of 2010 is just 92 days away ∞

I return from the Lux grave for one reason - TO FIND OUT WHAT'S GOING ON WITH FANTASY BASEBALL!
Hoodie, Black Pope, the tide, Goten and I are in... how about the rest of you? BATTER UP.
As I recall, para, you beat me fairly handily last year... but 2nd place against a good team is nothing to be ashamed of.

Running a little late, but we got a league going. Here are the details, sign up quick we start Friday at noon!
Name: Luxball
Password: QUASAR!
League ID: 711904
URL: http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/711904
25 inning minimum per week, 3 player pickups per week, Runs, HR, RBI, Average, OPS, SB, Wins, Saves, Holds, K,ERA and WHIP.
The options for the draft were only Wednesday-Friday, so I picked Friday at noon. I think that's the last time they offer a draft.
