More Unique AIs

Post by Straken99 » Sat Jun 06, 2009 1:29 am

Brainstorm some good ideas for some unique AIs that can be created. That way, someone who knows how to make one, maybe the Lux team, can create them.

Ideas and requests?

a bot better than Reaper...

I'll check back some time between Thursday andddd 2034? That enough time?

On a serious note, could the "team" command be expanded? Like, could you ever give simple commands to a bot?

I keep meaning to do this, but I get sidetracked, but I'd really love to see

ASSHAT BOT

This bot would not be concerned about its own income, but its priorities would be:

1) Kill (half-kill) any opponent, even if this guarantees you 5th place
2) Break any continent you can, no matter how st00pid a move that is in the long run
3) Offensive Chat. (I wonder if we can make a bot that gets banned....)

there was this thread about it some time ago.

http://sillysoft.net/forums/viewtopic.p ... ght=asshat

there are some good reason why a bot like this would not benefit online play.

LOL, are you trolling my OWN comments Eno???

Silly darkone. That was about adjusting REAPER...this is about creating a GENUINE ASSHAT bot. Not one who could be controlled by others to asshat a particular player, but one who randomly asshats the others.

If you want to troll, troll the RIGHT TOPIC

p.s. Love ya anyway Enophillips

I know certain behaviors in a bot would be difficult to code but what about a revenge bot as an idea? A bot that takes immediate revenge on the person who maybe attacks it two time in a row or a percentage of own armies destroyed by you to initiate a revenge sequence that would last a turn or two. Then the bot plays normally again. Just a thought.

The problem with this idea, is that the bots don't 'see' who attacked them. They essentially see the board only on their turns, and 'sleep' inbetween. So with the current state of technology a bot would never know which other player actually hit them....

I don't know that that is true n00less. I have allied myself with reaper before, attacked him, and then he says that the alliance is over.

Take the country code from the defense dice request and lookup the player in the countries list.

A revenge bot. You hit his cont, and it hits you back.

Btw asshat bot already exists. Pretty much Angry. It's completely random. No priorities. Burns everything in round one, and if ur unlucky enough to be near it then ur screwed.
