2nd Annual Luxtoberfest Luxshoppe Showdown Sign-up form

Post by mbauer » Thu Sep 11, 2008 9:32 am

It's time again for another Luxtoberfest edition Luxshoppe Showdown Tournament Spectacular!!! Sign up here to participate in the 53rd annual, Luxtoberfest edition, sudden elimination, round-robin, Luxshoppe Showdown Tournament Spectacular!!!

The winner gets their art displayed for all eternity in the holy Art Gallery (which is still pending updating from last year's tournament) as well as nice shiny gif on their awards page

For those who are new or don't remember visit this link 2007 Luxtoberfest Luxshoppe Tournament and then of course there's the Standings Chart and finally the Official Website complete with all jabs.

For more detailed rules visit this thread

The tournament will run the same way it did last year only this time we're going to cap it at 16 participants. Sign-ups will run from now until the end of the month. Oct 1st will be the official start of the tournament.

Add your name here to join in on the fun and see if you have the skills to superimpose Dustin's face on the body of a howler monkey!

If you don't use Photoshop don't worry I'm sure we can find someway to bridge the gap to include all photo manipulators out there. But if that is the case and you would like to sign up please state what program you will be using.

Edit to add : In the interests of fairness, I think all competitors should provide at least one fresh image for Photoshopping.

That sounds fair to me, but I think we'd have to strictly define what the image must be of. For example, it must be a head shot clearly showing at least the entire face, head and neck looking straight at the camera with no obstructions or pre-manipulation. But you can make any facial expressions you'd like. Sound good?

Oh, MB, those aren't just any old socks. Those are neoprene socks so I can wade into the 45 degree, mountain-fed creeks during the summertime without my tootsies going blue. And the sandals are actually felt bottomed wading sandals so they are extra grippy on the slippery rocks while wading. It's my ultra light weight wading gear that I use for backpacking trips. If I wear nylon shorts with this get up, I can wade deeper than my manhood prefers.

BTW - I don't wear any socks with my Tevas.

Is it just me, or does sasquatch look like a giant pickle in the first picture?

Come out of the closet sas! Don't let the Semi-Holy Cult shame you into pretending to like figs anymore!

PS - The photo entry fee is a great idea. Oh the hours I wasted looking for good pictures of hoodie and mbauer last year...

The festivities start in 2 days so I'll ask all participants to please post their face shots in this thread now.

Seeing as how there is an odd number of participants, I'll withdraw and remain the ringmaster. :P

MB
In this time of uncertainty in Luxtopia, it is of the utmost importance that we have a real leader at the forefront to ensure a stable today and a brighter tomorrow. As of this moment I am suspending my campaign to prove that I can kick el toro's ass at luxshopping in order to stabilize the RAW market.

Besides, everyone knows I woulda won anyway.

Since mb seams to really want to kick a el toro's ass
and there is one to many in here,
I'll suspend my campaign to allow MB put his money where his mouth is.
My absence will also create a more exciting and balanced tournament

Since the st00pid chicken truck seems to really want to kick brother toro's ass,
and there is one to many in here,
I suggest Enokrad get a bye week to start, since he went uncontested during the summer Luxshoppe series, then draw straws after that...

I'd jump in, but current employment has me workin harder than a one legged man in an ass kickin contest. I'm afraid my entries would end up being stick figures with someone's head pasted on...

Seeing as I'm just going to end up as a chick again, here's one MissChaos did of me on some cosmetics makeover site recently which should save you all the trouble of putting makeup on me.

And here's one without the makeup.
