booooooo.........

Post by gypsymystyc » Wed Oct 31, 2012 2:06 am

Gotta voice my public disapproval of the Mofoz disqualification. I know its hard to get any two teams to show up and complete these games, and keep the tourney moving. None the less, my team was present today at our scheduled time and was willing and able to continue play.... while the asshats had to go. Sure they came back later when we wern't all around, but we were here when we were scheduled to be here. Doesn't seem right to me that we should be knocked out given those circumstance. right!?

The Asshats were present at the scheduled start time, too. Although some of them had to leave after the first two games, they had enough players to field a team an hour later, and for the rest of the evening. The "schedule" said we would play games all day long. Eight hours until midnight eastern. Again, for the last two hours, a majority of the Inglorious Asshats were present. Engie, Big Will E Style, glu, Marauder, JJazz, Behemoth, and Rhye. Seven outta ten teammates! They were clearly organized, enthusiastic, and ready to kick ass and take names. Sorry gypsy, but like I said above, even if I extended this round for another day, I wouldn't be confident that tomorrow would be any different than today. The Sexy Mozafukas seemed to have a hard time getting players together all tourney long. Sad, but true. Maybe next time?

sorry hamsters, Wed 1pm is around 3am Thurs here, and i will be asleep waiting for 5am to come along for work.....IF there is a lag in the games, and they stretch out a bit, i may be able to come in for a game or 2 after work....alternatively, i may have Friday off of work, which is Thurs theree, so maybe i will be able to attend then, but cannot promise, i am sorry.

anyway, whatever happens, i had a blast playing survivor this luxtober, the format was excellent, the quality of games was excellent, the hosting and organising by para was excellent, and, even though there has been some displeasure created by this tourney, or lack of over the past 2 years, every negative thought should be outweighed by the positives that this years Survivor tourney have brought to the general public, and para should be applauded for his tireless work in making it possible and better than ever.

On a side note.......i seriously think that this kind of format could and should be used to perhaps replace the castle tourney in January.....even tho i am perhaps 1 of castles biggest fans, it was always snyper's tourney, and since he aint here anymore, perhaps it should be left alone out of respect for him.......Survivor could be more accessible to a greater number of players, and the variety of the missions that can be played in this format could keep it fresh and viable for a number of years to come, even if it is played twice a year. These decisions are ones which i do not get a vote on anymore, but would stress to the current mods that the fun and great competiton displayed over the past 2 weeks cannot be ignored, and jeepers, october only comes around once a yr (some things r too much fun to only experience once a year!!!)

The starting time of 1pm is a problem for me as well as, hopefully I'll be sleeping (i think it's 3 or 4 am for me)

I will try, however, to join from about 6 or 7 am Melbourne time for some games. I hope to catch some hamsters the to kick some 'ass'

Hi hamsters.

I have power restored but still not cable/internet. I am hoping that it will be up when I get home from work this evening.

I am sorry that as captain, I can't be there at 1pm.

Hopefully later this evening if all goes well I will get some games in.

Good luck hamsters!

Today's early start was due in part to Halloween, in case no one was around tonight.

(Again, we'll just play things by ear, today and tomorrow.)

I have no electricity at home due to the hurricane and simply assumed this stuff was going to be rescheduled.

I apologize if I let anyone down, but it is entirely out of my hands.

All even at one apiece after two games.

This match will be "first to four by two."

(Hopefully concluding by end of day tomorrow.)

(I can't promise both teams will be there early, but I will be available to host just in case.)

I'd like to nominate General K for Survivor MVP. looking at the stats no other player carried his team to greater lengths. Without General K's 116 points, the Mozafukas would have been in LAST place, instead of 3rd! Not to diss on my own captain, Engie who has been incredible in the playoffs pushing our team again and again, or Mumps who did tremendous work for his team; but take away Mumps and you still have a 1st place team, take away K, and there ARE no Sexy Mozafukas. . . .

Not every day you see a rabid varmint and pernickety micro-shrub fight. Here's hoping it's royally entertaining.
