THE RULES
Schedule: The game starts @ 8pm EST on January 18th
on a daytime cycle. Each Day is 24 hours. Each Night is 24 hours. Days and Nights start at 8pm EST and end at 7:59pm the following day.
Night Phase: Players with Night actions should PM their moves to me.
Day Phase: During the day, all players can vote to Lynch a player. Cast your vote by posting it in this thread. You may also abstain by posting that in the thread. If you don't post a vote or abstain by the deadline, it will count as a vote against you.
Voting & Prison: The player(s) with the most votes against them will be Imprisoned in the Ice Cage, and may not take any action at Night. If there’s a tie, multiple players will be Imprisoned.
Players in the Ice Cage can’t perform any actions, nor can players outside of the Ice Cage attack, investigate, etc. the players within the Ice Cage... At dawn the following morning, one player (randomly chosen from those in the Ice Cage) will be dragged down into the icy water, in true Mafia fashion, to be fed on by the fishes. Any other player(s) will be returned to the game.
Attacks: Attacks take place stealthily at night... Failed attacks do not yield a report of any nature that would reveal the role of the target. You will simply be told "Attack landed and failed." The one exception to this is failure due to being "stunned". If you are stunned you will be told that you have been stunned.

Villains will know the identity of all Villains at the beginning of the game, North Polians will only know their own roles. If you have any questions, please PM me or post them here,
THE SPIRIT OF CHAOTIC GIVING: "The Polar Totem of Resurrection"
Each morning 3 pieces of a totem will be randomly passed out to randomly selected players (unknown to everyone but them). When assembled they create “The Polar Totem of Resurrection”. This totem, when assembled gives the possessor the ability to resurrect any 1 player 1 time in a calendar year (in other words it only works once per game). During the day cycle you can freely transfer the totem portions between each other as you see fit in the forum.
If you chose to hide your section silently no one will be the wiser, but all totem transfers will take place in public… why? Because it’s a flippin’ totem pole, and they are HUGE! You can’t lug it from one place to the next in broad day light without being seen doing so.
In the spirit of gift giving, you can re-gift or ‘ding-dong-ditch’ your totem section with or without another player’s consent as much as you like, however, it must be done publicly in the forum. In other words you can keep us guessing whether the receiver knows what they are getting or not. Just ‘leave it on their doorstep’ However, all merges must take place in the forum. If you are holding 2 individual sections and you want them merged you must post “MERGE TOTEM SECTIONS” (any variation of this is acceptable) in the forum. At which time you will have 2 days (
merge day included as this is a payable day over which you have an advantage) to either find the next section, re-gift/ding-dong-ditch it to someone else.
1 Totem section (in single stand alone form) = Transferred at dawn of each day. Each morning it will de-materialize and re-materialize in the home (secretly) of a random player.
2 Combined Totem sections = Can be held for 2 days before it de-materializes and re-spawns in the home of a random player
3 Combined Totem sections = Can be held indefinitely and used/transferred at will, you will be automatically protected in the event of an attack or lynching but the totem will be consumed as a result. Due to the automatic nature of this protection your affiliation/role will not be revealed.
Be careful who you give your Totem sections to… All totem sections must be transferred in public. A totem section’s transfer “clock” is based on the day it is first spawned or “MERGED”. You cannot simply play hot potato and pass it around to a companion to reset the clock (i.e. transfer back and forth to keep your 2 day clock advantage).
If a player dies while owning a totem section it will be spawned back into play in sync with its next scheduled transfer. That is the following morning for a single section or 1 day later for a merged double section.
NOTE: In the event that the totem is not fully assembled by the time only 3 players remain it will cease to exist in the game.
Totem Bluffs: While you MAY claim to have a totem in your possession to your lil heart's content. You MAY NOT perform FICTITIOUS TRANSFERS. These, fictitious transfers, are expressly forbidden and will result in you losing your vote and getting one vote added to your tally for the day.
