It is a time of constant conflict known as the Sengoku Period or 'Warring states' when samurai were nobility and lords or ‘daimyo’ ruled the land. Three of these daimyo would eventually rise to power - Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu.
