The Crusades

Team 1: Roman Catholics (Barbarossa, Phillip II & Richard the Lionheart)
Team 2: Eastern Orthodox (Isaac II)
Team 3: Muslims (Saladin, Kilij Arslan & Toghrul III)
Team 4: Kingdom of Jerusalem (Crusader States)

The year is 1187, the Caliphate of Cairo, Saladin, is poised to conquer Jerusalem and expel all Christians from the Holy Lands. Kilij Arslan, the Iconium of Rum, has an army threatening to conquer Constantinople and lay waste to the Byzantine Empire. Isaac II, the Emperor of Byzantine, pleads with the leaders of Europe to help save the Holy Lands and preserve them for Christianity. Frederick Barbarossa of the Holy Roman Empire sets out with a massive army, aimed to hold Constantinople at all costs. While Richard the Lionheart and Phillip II of France, outraged over the loss of Jerusalem, set sail to confront the Muslim armies.

Created by Mark Bauer. Version 1.1 released December 17, 2010.
